Enterprise Agreement (re)Negotiation
At a certain level of spend, AWS will reach out to establish an enterprise relationship. They have many advantages to your business and can be very worthwhile, but the scope of an Enterprise Agreement can seem overwhelming. AWS routinely issues thousands of these, while you see a handful at absolute most. We’re here to help–this is routine for us.
Here’s how it works
Step 1: We talk to you.
We will take a look at what you’re doing, what your plans are, and determine what we’re seeing industry-wide with respect to flexible terms. Is AWS starting to flex on a previously non-negotiable term? Are they worried another company might possibly be about to make money doing something and are discounting some services to compensate? We see it all.
Step 2: We talk to your company.
Half the battle is knowing what you want and what you don’t care about. We’ll meet with your various departments to understand what’s important to you in your contractual agreements with AWS. For example, early access to developer previews, discount levels, discounting, indemnity, and more.
Step 3: We write a report. It’s probably not what you’d expect.
We put everything together into a negotiating guide for your internal use, and, if you would like, we can speak with AWS on your behalf as a part of your negotiations. Getting these deals done quickly benefits both sides, and since we’re not an AWS partner, we have no incentive to help them sell a deal that doesn’t benefit you.
Step 4: We keep an eye on the industry.
As your usage of AWS services evolves over time, it’s probable that renegotiating your new deal will become valuable to you, AWS, or both. By understanding how your needs change, we remain well positioned to advise on further business engagements with AWS–and we’re just a phone call away, at no additional charge.
