Disclosures

While *Last Week in AWS* is not something that I conceptualize as a journalistic enterprise, nor an analyst firm (its corporate parent The Duckbill Group is a consultancy!), I often find myself being cited as either in various contexts. To that end, I’m making my potential conflicts-of-interest and paid relationships known here.

## Paid Relationships With Cloud Providers

Beginning in June 2019 to present, I have a paid relationship with AWS for [“voice-of-the-customer” feedback](https://www.gainsight.com/guides/essential-guide-voice-customer/)
. AWS has never paid me for coverage of any of their products.

Beginning in February 2021 to present, I have a paid relationship with Google Cloud for [“voice-of-the-customer” feedback](https://www.gainsight.com/guides/essential-guide-voice-customer/)
. Google Cloud has never paid me for coverage of any of their products.

I do not currently, nor have I ever, had a paid relationship with Microsoft Azure.

Additionally, I have a multitude of relationships via the sponsors for Last Week in AWS, AWS Morning Brief, and Screaming in the Cloud, as well as a smattering of clients for The Duckbill Group’s consulting services; none of them grant editorial control, input, or visibility.

## Investments

While effectively all of my investments are in index funds, as of 2017 I hold ~~6~~ 120 shares (post-split) of Amazon stock for the sole purpose of one day shitposting via shareholder resolution.
